Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd, which now boasts more branches in Singapore and a newly opened enterprise in the United States, first incorporated in 1995 when an offshore technician and two of his friends started Delco Auto Grooming Centre in a rented car lot with just $4500 in capital. The partnership dissolved within the year, but Chang How continued the business himself, renaming the company Unique Car Beauty Shop and moving its operations into a small workshop, the size of one parking space. By 1997, Unique had just 3 workers and struggled to survive with services that included interior steam cleaning and disinfecting car upholstery, polishing of auto exteriors and providing engine bay cleaning from used car agent.
In 2000, Chang How added a new service: Leather Restoration. Sherine Chan joined the company on the same year after leaving her previous place of employment. The company underwent a significant transformation in 2004, when Chang How upgraded to a full workshop and changed the company’s name to Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd.
In 2005, Chang How introduced customers to Unique’s signature CS-II Paint Sealant, a proprietary paint protection service that helps maintain an auto’s factory-fresh paint shine as well as protect paintwork against minor scratches and contaminants such as acid rain, fallout and bird droppings.
In the year of 2010, they had 4 branches in Singapore with 30 employees and more than 80,000 track records in the automotive industry and the company is still growing...
In 2011, Unique opened their first international branch in California (United States) and further extend their products and services offering to cater to U.S. enterprises and affluent individuals.
Unique started another subsidiary company in California to manufacture the products to distribute globally and it was named, CS-II International Inc. to better reflect our footprint on the global market. We view the U.S. as an emerging market for auto appearance services and, with that in mind, we are also opening the CS-II International Training Institute to teach young entrepreneurs the technical skills needed to work for or own their own auto detailing enterprises.
Unique has undergone tremendous change since its humble beginning in 1995.
