Sealants vs Coatings

Sealants, sometimes described as synthetic liquid waxes, are synthetic products designed for paint protection in the long run. Composed of mainly amino functional polymers, they are easy to apply and last longer than wax while remaining more stable for longer in providing resistance to elements. Although varying in length, sealants generally last for three to six months tops.

Coating, on the other hand, when applied to clean surface is capable of film build. The chemically inert nature of this coating means that it’s impervious to bonding with foreign agents and thereby reducing the soiling of paint surface.
