What advantages does CS-II
Ceramic Coating have over other coats like clear coats?
CS-II Ceramic Coating provides
additional gloss and protection over the clear coats. Contaminants slide off
easily on the Ceramic Coating, reducing the time they eat into the paint
surface. An additional advantage is the ease of cleaning your vehicle.
Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be
treated on most areas?
CS-II Ceramic Coating can be
treated on all exterior surfaces including paint, glass, metal, stainless
steel, chrome, gel coat, plastic composites, exhaust and wheels. CS-II Ceramic
Coating should not be used on rubber or soft plastics.
Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be
applied on rubber moldings?
CS-II Ceramic Coating Resin or
Pre-Clean should not be used on rubber moldings or rubber seals.
Carbon fiber too?
Definitely, you can apply
CS-II Ceramic Coating to carbon fiber shields, panels, and parts.
What about my decals, emblems,
etc.?
CS-II Ceramic Coating can be
applied right over any decals and will even add gloss to your emblems.
Permanent coating?
You can think of CS-II Ceramic
Coating Resin as adding a glossier, chemical resistant, and harder clear coat
to the paint’s surface. CS-II Ceramic Coating is a permanent coating in the
same sense that the clear coat on your car is permanent. The existing clear
coat will eventually wear away over time; its overall longevity depends on
factors and proper application.
Is a special car wash or soap
needed to wash my vehicle before application?
There is no need for any
special washing detergent or soap; any residue will be removed by our CS-II
Ceramic Coating Pre-Clean Solution (Dewax).
What about after application?
Fortunately, there is no need
to wash with special washing soap or shampoo. You can even use an automated car
wash to clean your car.
Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be
waxed or sealed over?
Waxing or sealing over CS-II
Ceramic Coating will not damage the coating. However, allow the CS-II Ceramic
Coating to cure for at least 3 days before applying another product.
What is the curing time for
CS-II Ceramic Coating?
CS-II Ceramic Coating cures
immediately after application. After the coating has cured, it is best to avoid
washing the car or driving in rain for the next day. Over the next 3 days,
CS-II Ceramic Coating will continue to become harder until the surface reaches
maximum hardness.
After my coating has cured, is
there a way to remove it?
After the CS-II Ceramic
Coating has cured, it can only be removed by polishing (compounding) or wet
sanding.
Do I need to remove bird
droppings from my car instantly?
Remove bird droppings from
your car as soon as possible. To remove them easily, saturate the dropping and
wipe off. Avoid scraping.
What happens when the water
repellency of my coating decreases?
The water repellency of the
coating will decrease over time due to the buildup of contaminants. To resolve
the problem, just clean the surface with a mild cleaner and wash off thoroughly
with water. The hydrophobic effect will then be reproduced.
